Somne Somne

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 September 2026

Somne is built so that the sensitive part of your data — what your tinnitus sounds like and how bad it was today — never leaves your phone. This page describes exactly what is stored, where, and who else is involved.

What Somne stores on your device

All of it is kept in the app's local database on your iPhone. It is not uploaded, not backed up to our servers — we do not run any servers — and not shared with anyone. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.

What Somne does not collect

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple. Apple handles your payment; Somne never sees your payment details.

Somne uses RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is active. RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt Apple issues, together with an anonymous identifier generated on your device and basic device information such as the platform and app version. It does not receive your name, your email address, your tinnitus frequency, your ratings or any other content from the app. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.

Children

Somne is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because your data is stored only on your device, you already hold it. To erase everything, delete the app from your iPhone. There is no server-side copy for us to delete, and no export step needed — nothing was ever sent.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
